Some books you read and some books make you stare at your ceiling and question your entire existence.

Ceiling Dreams by Danica Saunders? Yeah, this one said “let’s romanticize your 2AM thoughts real quick” and I was NOT ready.

The whole concept?? Wild. Your ceiling opens into literal space and now you’re just lying there like, do I move or do I just accept my fate and vibe with the universe??

And the narrator being sentient space dust?? I’m sorry but that’s so random and yet it works SO well. It feels distant, dreamy, and weirdly personal at the same time.

The writing is giving soft, poetic, slightly unhinged thoughts you have when life gets a little too real. It blends love, longing, and existential spirals in a way that’s lowkey comforting but also like, why am I suddenly emotional over space dust??

AND THE ILLUSTRATIONS?? EXCUSE ME?? They’re STUNNING. Not just pretty for the sake of it, they actually make the whole experience feel immersive.

Every page is a whole aesthetic. I was reading and then just pausing like “okay wait this is beautiful.”

If you love books that feel like a late-night overthinking session but make it cosmic, this is your sign. It’s dreamy, emotional, slightly trippy, and will 100% live in your head rent-free.
