FOUR SUMMITS CHALLENGE. ⛰️🚴

Out of Cascade, Idaho, along Warm Springs Road and up toward Warm Lake Summit.

Four summit climbs on an out-and-back route, taking on the same two major climbs in both directions. We rode until the pavement ended, then turned it around.

One route. Four climbs. A solid day on the bike.

The first photo in this carousel is a perfect example of how much joy cycling brings into my life. It was taken at the finish line of Unbound in June. I had plenty of reasons to be frustrated with how my day went, but crossing that finish line, I couldn’t help but smile.

The last two months since my accident have been anything but easy. But instead of diving into the hardest parts, I want to share some of the positives and the progress I’m making.

I’m gaining strength back and have been cleared to ride my bike again, which has been the greatest blessing. I still have a ways to go in my recovery, and my fitness isn’t where it was a few months ago, but my arm has been feeling strong on the bike. I’m planning to line up for @bigsugarclassic next weekend, and I’m just grateful to have the opportunity to be back between the tape.

Photo dump from my favorite month of the year. September was jam packed with memorable events. AJ and I celebrated our 10th anniversary, I made great memories with my girls,and with amazing home front support, I was able to fly out to MN for US gravel nationals. Came away with 6th (W19-34), and honestly, I’m finally allowing myself some credit for showing up and racing the way I did as a busy mom of 3 this year. Enjoyed some cooler temps in the mountains on the roads and trails with my sister, and finished off the season with a fun fondo in Capitol Reef! I had an absolute blast, but this working mom is tired 😅 I am excited for the remainder of fall and an ease in the intensity of my life before rebuilding for next year’s goals! I’m really grateful to @plan7endurancecoaching for having my back the whole year and for the opportunity to race/participate in all 5 @utahgravelseries events this season!
