One Zoom class. Six years of creating. A whole new world. 🎨

Meet @heybilliefischer, an artist and Living Canvas donor who calls herself a “pandemic pupil.” She took up art while staying home during the pandemic—and has been exploring collage, abstract painting, and drawing ever since.

In Spotlight Ep. 1, Billie shares her love of collage and gives Aaron a peek at her prolific collection, including a denim study inspired by fashion label R13.

Fashion + collage + a little leopard-print connection with Aaron. 😂

What’s a creative hobby you’d love to try?

Follow @heybilliefischer and share this with someone who’s curious about making art.

Your body thinks in motion. ✨

Meet Dr. S. Ama Wray, founder and creator of Embodiology—a movement and music practice that explores creativity, body awareness, and human connection.

She shares how 15 years of developing Embodiology brought together research into West African performance practices, music, and improvisation.

You don't have to be a dancer or an artist to explore what movement can reveal about who you are and how you connect with others.

What helps you feel connected to your body: movement, music, or creating in the moment? Tell us below.

Follow @embodiology and @s.amawray to explore her work.
Save this introduction and share it with someone curious about creative movement.

One Smile Can Start a Ripple of Kindness 🤍

Being human can feel hard, scary, and lonely. Sometimes, a small moment of human connection can make the day feel a little lighter. - @healingheartschangingminds

Robert Ansin shares a simple reminder: you can make a difference by smiling at someone who needs it.

That person might carry a little more positive energy home. It might shape how they connect with their family that night. One small act of kindness can keep moving outward.

A smile costs nothing. The ripple could reach someone you'll never meet.

What's one small kindness you'll always remember? Tell us below, and share this with someone who has brightened your day.

“We don't have a Plan B. We don't have a Planet B.” — @ruthwestreich3

Ruth Westreich is an artist, activist, philanthropist, and president of the Westreich Foundation. She brings all of those roles together in service of a shared purpose: supporting research and science that uncover the underlying causes of chronic conditions in adults and children.

What keeps her hopeful?

Young people.

Ruth understands that the work of protecting our health, our communities, and our planet will be placed in the hands of the next generation. The question is whether we will choose to carry it forward.

Her message is both a warning and an invitation: hope must become action.

There is no Planet B.

You're not alone.

“I’m not only creating with Living Canvas, but I’m also growing mentally and physically within the community.” — @do.uble_a ⚡

What’s good, everybody! Double A here.
Working as Content Manager for Living Canvas Foundation has become more than creating videos, campaigns, and content. It’s given me the opportunity to connect with people, hear their stories, grow within the community, and understand even more why platforms like this matter.
So now I’m putting the invitation out there:
If you have a story to tell—or simply want to tell us WHY you do what you do—we want to hear it. 🎤
Our Spotlight Series gives you the opportunity to sit down with me and have a real conversation about your creativity, journey, purpose, healing, or whatever drives you.
And we’re taking that same community energy beyond the screen! Living Canvas is also supporting upcoming events, including Rhythm in the Park and Frederick On Tap.
Stay involved. Keep creating. Keep sharing your story.

Thank you for continuing to show Living Canvas so much love. We’ll keep giving that same love right back. ❤️
And you already know…
Stay Charged Up. ⚡

"Creativity creates freedom, and freedom creates healing." — @slfcommunity

Some of the greatest growth happens the moment we step outside our comfort zone.

Nadia Khawja shares how creativity challenges us to think beyond what feels familiar. As a yoga teacher, she's witnessed how healing often begins when we're willing to embrace discomfort and discover new parts of ourselves.

Creativity isn't just about making art.

It's about giving yourself permission to explore, imagine, and become the person you're capable of being.

Because when creativity creates freedom...

Freedom creates healing.

You're not alone.

✨ Behind the scenes…

Sometimes the best moments happen before the final product ever reaches the world.

Had an incredible time bringing this vision to life with some amazingly talented people. Huge shoutout to @outter_sp8s for putting together the choreography and allowing all of us to add our own flavor to it. 🙌🏾🔥

Special thanks to our incredible dancers:

And a huge thank you to @230.ent for believing in our creativity, capturing the vision, and inviting us to be part of this project. We had an amazing time filming, and we can’t wait for everyone to see the final video when it drops on both of our pages! 👀🎥

Until then… here’s the energy, the laughs, and the memories we’ve created together.

"What does dance mean to you? I see dance as an expression." — @do.uble_a

For me, dance has never been about being perfect.

It's about being yourself.

As Double A, I've always told my classes that every person who walks through those doors is already a soloist. You're your own creation. Your own personality. Your own rhythm.

The music isn't there to judge you.

It's there to help you express what words sometimes can't.

Whether it's a jump, a clap, a punch, or simply swaying to the beat, every movement tells a story about how you're feeling.

That's why dance has always been therapeutic for me.

It's not just exercise.

It's confidence.
It's healing.
It's freedom.

And as long as the music is playing, I'm going to Stay Charged Up.

You're not alone.
