About a week in the mountains with the most fantastic mentor, @petervangeit A meticulously planned Alpine Bootcamp to show us, mortals, what lies beyond the commercialized hiking trails of the Western Himalayas. Along with the learnings and the treasure trove of numerous trails, he even taught us a new simplified measurement system!! Cost is measured in grams (weight), Distance in hours (time), and Wealth in the hospitality and warmth with which people welcome you in the remotest places in the country. Hope to take up a few of the hundreds of trails mapped by superstars like peter who are as close to nature as it gets. The stay & food at Nisarga by @cyclingacrossindia & Divya were just the icing on top of the enormous cake! To everyone wondering how to hike solo, this man has the key. Hope I can do justice to the efforts he put into this Bootcamp. Look forward to venturing off the beaten path. Cheers 🍻
