This is the first thanksgiving without both my parents....it was really odd.... But I did have dinner in my moms house ( I opened up with a prayer., made me think of my dad-- he always had the serious Heanenly Father supplication before we ate...lol) with my nieces nephews and a few of my siblings., and my heart #asmaaaishah ----so not was absent my parents but filling with the family....#jonesfamlee it wasn't the perfect day but it was a good day...to my family---I ❤️❤️❤️❤️YOU ALL. I am grateful for you...#momdad ...I miss you and love you.

This is such a great photo....#tranquility ...I was lying in my bed thinking of my momma #DOCIABELLE her body being gone but her presence with me and what I have to do in life and how I have to go about things...weighing my feelings & emotions against my intellect & thoughts about things & people I hold dear....also reflecting on how I could say to the people who gave my family and I such heartfelt support love and comfort by the kind words flowers and the overwhelming show of love by being present at my moms service (...the neighborhood and even people I did not know came out...) how I could say thank you to you all....also...I was thinking about 'mourning' and the dawn of 'a new morning' - how the former I have shared here thru photos and words and though everyone has embraced it with respect and kind words I think ., at this point I don't need to continue that. You have no idea of the comfort you have given me ----also the former is upon me and as I embraced my mom for all my life I now must embrace this day that God has opened and placed before me by stepping fully wholly and forcefully into it with my heart my determination my will to succeed and my emotion and my head looking up and held high. So I browsed the internet for a photo that could speak my feelings and things I think mommy would say and this photo is what i found calling me today. And with that., I say thank you to my social media friends and thank you to all my real life friends & family. The next phase of life has begun ....may Allah guide me. Amin
