🦌EMERSON ARCHERY DOE DAYS — DECEMBER 12 & 13🦌

This December, we’re bringing hunters together for something bigger than just filling a tag.

The mission of Emerson Archery Doe Days is simple: help manage our local deer herd while putting quality venison into the hands of families and organizations in our community that can use it.

HERE’S HOW IT WORKS:

🏹 You hunt your own property or property you already have permission to hunt.

🦌 If you’re successful, your deer must be legally harvested and properly tagged according to Michigan law.

📍 Bring your harvested deer to Emerson Archery during the event.

🤝 The DNR will be on site collecting donated deer and coordinating getting them to processors.

🥩 The processed venison will then be distributed to local food banks, churches, and other organizations helping people in need.

IMPORTANT: We are NOT providing hunting property, hunting access, weapons, bows, or other hunting equipment. You hunt on your own, then bring your legally harvested deer to the event if you choose to donate it.

And you DO NOT have to harvest or donate a deer to attend!

If you hunt all weekend and never fill a tag—or just want to come be part of the event—you’re still invited to come hang out, participate in the other activities, check out the prizes, and enjoy the weekend with us.

🍽️ SATURDAY, DECEMBER 12 — BANQUET DINNER

We’ll also be hosting a banquet dinner Saturday night. Dinner tickets will be first come, first served, and we’ll be releasing ticket information and additional details soon.

There is NO dinner ticket required to donate a deer or come participate in the rest of Doe Days.

We have a lot more planned for this weekend, and we’ll continue releasing details as we get closer.

Save the dates: December 12 & 13.

Hunt your ground. Fill your tag if you can. Donate your harvest if you choose. And come spend the weekend with us while we use hunting to give back to our community.

She is finally bowed up! 🤠🏹 Crazy story how I got ahold of my first bow. Happens to be that my friends are incredible and got me hooked up just days before opener. 🙏🏻 God did some cool work in how it went down.

I got a message from @durtkaman saying that his friend was selling a great Michigan-made bow that would fit me for very cheap, and he asked if I knew anyone who lived nearby the bow listing. JUST SO HAPPENS I know @the_non_typical lives close & I knew he’d even be coming out to the West side a few days later. How God orchestrated that timing is BEYOND me.

Josh showed up to dinner with several of our conservationist friends and provided me with not just the bow, but an incredible new sight to put on the bow, too. Took it straight to @longrangearchery the next day, who took incredible care of me as always. Durtka was back out to help sight it in with me right before our Deer & Spear adventure. Wild timing for it all, I genuinely thought I wouldn’t have a bow until late season. So grateful to have such incredible people in my life.

Thankful for ALL the pointers incredible humans give as I grow in skill. Even just after this video was taken… Jon taught me a ton of form tips to help make my shots more accurate & ethical; aiming for vitals is a lot harder on the bow, but I LOVE me some hard work.

Happy Opening Season guys! Show me your Michigan DOES! @doepatrol_mi

Giving back isn’t just about the resources we have—it’s about the time and talent we’re willing to invest.

When programs like “Michigan Outdoorsmen Against Hunger” faced shifting funding, many processors were forced to stop accepting donated deer or start charging hunters out-of-pocket. Combine that with the absolute chaos of rifle and shotgun season, and it became harder than ever for hunters to donate their harvest to those who need it most.

Doe patrols goal is to provide an outlet where donating your harvest costs you nothing, and gives you a community to give back to. Whether you want to donate a deer, give your time to learn how to process, or step up and use your existing skills to bless others—there is a place for you here.

A heartfelt thank you to our friends at Doe Patrol for their continued support of Gateway Mission through their generous venison donations.

As we enter the holiday season—a time filled with memories, traditions, and the comfort of good food—the meals we prepare with the donated meat help create a sense of home and belonging for guests.

Their steady partnership year after year reminds our community that compassion is alive and well.

Thank you @doepatrol_mi for sharing your time, your harvest, and your heart with those we serve. We are truly grateful for the difference you make during the holidays and throughout the year!e

Would you participate? 🤔

Been getting asked frequently about hosting a doe harvest event. Trying to gauge interest.

It’s the little things that mean the most to us.

Every time one of you walks (crawls) through our doors here in Saint Joseph, Michigan, we get to do more than just hand off a target…

We get to talk hunting, share life stories, and hear what you’re up to in the great state of Michigan.

That fuels us here at SpyderWeb Targets.

Thank you to everyone who stops in, spends a little time, and talks life with us (even if you can’t talk just yet Forrest)

You all are the reason we get to do what we do 🤍
