What an honor it was to produce the Evening of Arts ’26 fashion show this past Saturday night. Producing a fashion show is one of those things that makes you realize just how much can happen behind the scenes before anyone ever takes the runway. Months of planning turned into one very long (and very rewarding) production day. Designers arriving, racks being organized, hair and makeup moving, models getting fitted, rehearsals, last-minute changes, production cues, and eventually... Showtime. This was my third year helping bring Subconscious to life, and getting to produce something alongside so many talented people in Detroit. It continues to be one of my favorite creative experiences. A special shoutout to my company @experiencebluewater for assisting on AV! So insane to think my first big girl corporate job helped me with my passion project. There’s something really special about watching something exist in spreadsheets, group chats, production schedules and meetings for months... and then suddenly standing there while it’s actually happening.
