What a lovely time at Moonbeams this weekend, our magical local festival on the Wolds, founded by our equally magical Leila Cooper 🎪 It was the 17th year for all of us, and the first one for my gorgeous little niece Ruby who was my very special plus one! 🙂 Thankyou to Lynette Bm Music for looking after us in the Moonstars tent and to Dogfinger Steve & Shirley for being awesome, and a huge Thankyou to Espresso Van-Gogh for their always-amazing coffees and for holding a prize raffle this year (inspired by Pete's Mum!) which raised £310 for charity, topped up amazingly by them to £500 🙂 I bought a ticket and to my delight and complete surprise won the 2nd prize! A gigantic hamper of tea and coffee and lovely treats! 🥰 As always at Moonbeams, it was wonderful to see friends, family and fellow musicians, and to top it all off, the sun was shining and there was a full moon too 🙂 Special mention to Matilda and Jethro, The Two Peeks, a fantastic young new duo, who came up and performed a song on the main stage, and blew everyone away! Ones to watch for sure! 🎙 Thankyou to Pete and Joe on the sound, which was brilliant as always, our amazing MC Andy, Nigel Plant Photography for the lovely stage photo, Matilda & Jethro's Grandad for the beautiful pen, all the amazing volunteers, and huge Thankyous to everyone who came along for the loveliest, loveliest time 🌞🎪🥰 xx

🎶 ANNOUNCEMENT 🎶

A Crooked Folk Fest’ is back! With some great music coming your way. Folk Sessions starting at around 3pm and more music coming your way after.

@dogfingersteve and @hillbilliesofhull

We’ve heard that your kids would like to come along and experience some of the music hear at The Crooked Tap so we’ve set some up earlier than usual to make sure there’s an experience for the whole family. Ya’ll can even get up and shake a tambourine or beat a bongo if you please - an attempt at a country accent. You get the point. Community sprit is the folk way of life so we are the perfect venue for it.

One day. Great music. Friday 5th July. See you there.

🍷 This Week and Next Week 🧠

The Thursdays over the next two weeks are looking quite special with a FREE wine tasting this Thursday and a BIG quiz next Thursday.

This Thursday starting at 7pm, you will find yourselves enjoying some beautiful wine with a selection of white, red and something fizzy paired with some delectable cheese from the Thursday Market.

Next Thursday (15th) starting at 7pm, we are hosting our Yearly Anti-Valentine’s Quiz for those of you who fancy celebrating Valentine’s Day a little differently; a night for the gals, guys, dolls and couples. At just £1.00pp you could be in with a chance of winning a £40.00 Bar Tab - so it’s worth it for the win if not for the Crooked way we celebrate Valentine’s Day.

We would also just like to say a massive thank you to all involved in The Crooked Folk Fest from the months of planning to the artists involved and those who came along to the folk sessions - it was honestly such an enjoyable time for all involved - we will be spamming the story with some videos later if you didn’t see what went down over the weekend.

Thank you to, @dogfingersteve @purepsychogirl @rachellongstone - it was a pleasure to have you play and we can’t wait to have you back.

There’s always something going on here and we like to keep it Crooked.

Join our mailing list, give us a review on Tripadvisor, come down for a pint or two.
