Dog sports, but make it cute 🐾💕✨

Fast CAT is one of the easiest dog sports to get started in IMO! You don’t need a ton of equipment or training to show up and give it a try. It’s basically a timed 100-yard dash where your dog chases a lure, and they score points based on their speed (plus a handicap based on height!).

The first few trials, I was hauling around a giant bag with everything I thought I might need. 😂 Now I’ve finally got my essentials dialed in: an extra leash (you need two!), lots of treats (I love @doggo_sessions ), poop bags, keys, sunglasses, chapstick, and hand sanitizer.

My @goodboyssocialclub crossbody bag has been a game changer! It has a built-in poop bag dispenser and a leash clip for my extra leash and Ruby’s tug toy, which is a MUST for redirecting all that post-run hype. 😂 Who says that just because you’re sweaty and tired that you can’t accessorize??

I’ve been using these on walks lately and they’ve honestly made training so much easier.

The little tube fits right in my pocket and I can grab a treat with one hand without stopping everything.

Not every product actually makes things easier… this one does.

If you know someone working on training their dog right now, send this to them.

We love @doggo_sessions these are the best treats for training any dogs and service pups. Nala rather pick @doggo_sessions l treats over any other treat she has a little fit or when she is tired.

Storm has mastered the ‘paw’ command!

I started by holding a closed fist with treats inside and rewarded her whenever she pawed at it.

Once she understood, I switched to an open palm with a treat held by my thumb and rewarded when her paw touched my hand.

Finally, I presented just an open palm and rewarded her when she offered her paw.

If I’ve learned anything while training foster dogs it’s that things take time! We have to reward the behavior approximations before we can expect a dog to learn something perfectly. I had some slobbery hands before I was able to get Storm to give me her paw without a treat 😂

Using my favorite @doggo_sessions low calorie treats!
