The happiest girl 🍂
•
I swear in fall this girl lights up! She loves the crisp air where she doesn't have to worry about overheating. And... maybe she knows she blends in so she has a better chance against the squirrels 😂

“The sidewalks were haunted by dust ghosts all night as the furnace wind summoned them up, swung them about and gentled them down in a warm spice on the lawns.”
— Ray Bradbury

Truly the most cozy and magical time of the year 🍂✨

The last month has been a whirlwind in the best way! Stevie’s dad and I got married and it was perfect and magical and everything I have ever dreamed of. I know everyone always says they’re happy they never have to plan another wedding but I actually really miss it 🥲

Thank you September, you were magic ✨

She's genuinely the most intelligent and intuitive friend; she's been at my side throughout the worst of my health journey, through many hospitals, doctors, specialists and surgeons. And she got me through with her calm and gentle strength and courage. I never would have made it without her, she's been life changing and we definitely rescued each other.

Since she learned some new medical alert tasks, we got her a new vest a bit ago from the amazing @taskingthroughlife
And a new convertable working lead that @sloppychopsco was wonderful to work with me on for some custom needs. Collar is from my favorite collar maker @dogonthemoon , always super comfortable and beautiful.

Lumen likes visiting the plant nursery with me, we're trying to keep a fern alive wish us luck!

Sweater weather here we come 🍁

Summertime as an adult living in FL is my least favorite season.
Though it wasn’t my favorite as a kid either, I really liked school. But the heat, the tourists, the whole vibe. Never really been my style 😅 I’m not a beach person, not even really a water person to be honest. Give me mountains and a forest and I’m a happy woman.

Fall is my favorite season and I’m so happy it’s here. Winter is a close second, though I don’t feel like I’m allowed to choose Winter since we don’t really haaave Winter here 🥲

The leaves change color (on like one tree in Florida but it’s fine). People gather and make delicious food. Communities come together to give to others. The air is cooler and the humidity goes down juuust enough to be tolerable. November also brings our engagement and wedding anniversaries. It’s just the best time of year, for me, for so many reasons 🥰🤎

What is your favorite season?

Pink water. Salty foam. Squishy tar. Growing crystals. Happy horses. Nosy dogs. Spiral Jetty.

Visiting the Spiral Jetty while the salty water of the Great Salt Lake is pink was a TRIP. So much so that I went twice over Labor Day Weekend, even though it’s a 2-1/2 hour drive each way. Also, neither shoot went as planned. 🤭Alas!! But, maybe next year!

The first trip I snagged some quick shots of the most beautiful horses, but we didn’t get to start until after the sun went down. 😆 The second trip I got my drone out and snapped a lot of shots of the area, close up and far out. But right before sunsetty times, Jango got stuck in an actual pit of tar, and that ended our time early. To say it was an action-packed weekend is an understatement.

First week of September is in the books.
Who else waits all year for this time of year?
I thrive in the Autumn (unfortunately in TX you dont get that season 😫)
We have officially booked our Fall vacation for NC this October so I am very excited about that!
I NEED to know all the must dos and dog friendly hikes out by Asheville area!!!
