Rain in San Diego?! Weekend is ruined.

Just kidding, we had bouldering and tennis planned for the day but I’m not sure Harvey minds this cozy cuddle worthy weather.

The first time we went bouldering with Harvey outdoors, he did not like me climbing up those rocks. Poor pup was anxious every time and barked when I was too high off the ground. With some additional exposure and reassurance, I think he’s getting the hang of our climbing adventures. I was hoping to get him outside with us more frequently when we’re able to stay in town to climb.

But Mother Nature had other plans. May be time to bust out some puzzles, for both the doggo and the human!

How cute is witchy Poppy?! 🧙‍♀️

We love @zippypaws - thank you for supporting Dog Yoga this weekend and providing all of our pupstars with Halloween costumes to take home! 🧛

Your support helped us fundraise for @rovers_retreat dog rescue and sent everyone home with a smile 😊

If you were at Dog Yoga, we can’t wait to see your costume pics! 🎃

Nothing says fall in San Diego like sweating through a pumpkin patch in 90-degree weather. 🎃🥵

I really thought I was finally getting over the “plague” my mom passed along during her visit, but here I am, still congested and counting down the days until I can breathe normally again. 🤧

On a happier note, we had the sweetest few days temp fostering Tofu, and it reminded me just how much I miss fostering and having two dogs to love and care for. 🥹💗

What made it especially meaningful was watching Hugs step into the role Reina once played for him. The dog who once needed that love and guidance was now giving it to another rescue dog. It felt like a little piece of Reina living on through Hugs, and my heart couldn’t have been fuller. I think she would have been so proud of him. ❤️‍🩹

We had such a fun time catching up with friends at yesterday’s meetup, too! Tofu and Hugs were adorable in their costumes, and I couldn’t stop laughing when they both decided to roll around in the hay side by side. 😂🎃

This upcoming week is shaping up to be a busy and emotional one. We have a big appointment that I’ve been feeling really anxious about, along with a few other things I’m not quite ready to share. I’m trying not to get too far ahead of myself, but it’s hard when there’s so much on my mind.

I’m also jumping back into my full walking schedule after being sick, so hopefully my body is as ready as my calendar thinks it is. 😂

I’m grateful we got to spend the weekend surrounded by friends, happy dogs, and a little reminder of Reina. It was exactly the kind of joy my heart needed before heading into a week I’m feeling pretty nervous about. 💗

What’s on your calendar this week? Anything you’re looking forward to, or just hoping to get through?

From being found beside his deceased sister as a puppy in the Bahamas, to ending up on a euthanasia list in Missouri, Tofu has been through more in his two years than any dog should. And somehow, he’s still one of the sweetest, happiest dogs you’ll ever meet. 🥹💗

Tofu was deemed unadoptable because of kennel stress, but thankfully @theanimalpad stepped in and gave him another chance.

We only had this sweet boy for a few days while temp fostering, but he impressed me so much. He’s goofy, affectionate, loves everyone he meets, and has the biggest heart. We got to watch him make new friends, explore new places, and enjoy just being a dog.

He’s still figuring out life in a home, and he needs someone who can offer patience, structure, and consistency. But I saw so much potential in him, and I truly believe he’s going to be someone’s incredibly special dog.

It breaks my heart thinking about how close Tofu came to never getting this chance. I’m so glad we got to know him beyond the kennel stress, and even more grateful that his story isn’t over.

Now I just want to see this boy find someone who loves him as much as he’s ready to love them. 💗

Tofu is available for adoption through @theanimalpad
