@breakfastclubrally TOKYO CALLING 6🇯🇵

A photo dump of last weekend’s adventures around Sonoma County with some cool Japanese cars while the video coverage uploads to the channel. Here’s a little preview of what to look forward to⏩

The thick early morning fog at Sonoma Valley Airport made for a great backdrop as the cars rolled in & kept temperatures cool before the sun breaks through.

This AE86 had some interesting tidbits, a lot going on but somehow it all still worked together coherently.

Heavily sk8r influenced, good use of misc. parts. Peep those sun visors!

Painted engine bay, the valve cover & exhaust heat shield combo was a nice cohesive touch.

So many cool details indeed, like Solex locks but I loved the sticker collection. Definitely some slaps in there that I haven’t seen in awhile.

A brief stop in Occidental to stretch our legs after a few hours of driving.

AP1 S2000 tucked neatly in a corner spot. The fog cleared up & left us with some crisp air to enjoy, top down on a day like this has to be an absolute treat.

It’s an interesting phenomenon, having such a gathering of Japanese cars in one place. Since the majority of these cars would still be considered “USDM”, it still doesn’t quite feel like we are in Japan. It just looks like a snapshot from 90’s-00’s California. However, the effect is still just as special, still teleports me to a past era & live in that space for a moment or two.

Back to where we started! 100 miles of Sonoma county roads & views. The @breakfastclubrally routes & directions felt like we were on a mission & we completed our assignment successfully. What a cool experience!

Well… I guess the cat is officially out of the bag… 🐈💨
And apparently, the dog ran loose too!! 😂😂

I was planning to keep this build under wraps and make the official debut once the whole drag car was DONE… but I’ve been getting way too many messages asking about it, so I guess the secret is out. 🤷🏻‍♂️😂

So here it is… just a little teaser. 👀🔥
Nothing too crazy yet—just whatever pictures and videos I happened to have on my phone.

This thing is STILL IN THE MAKING. Every single day, there’s progress, changes, problems, solutions, and probably a few more gray hairs. 😂

I’ll save the full reveal for when this crazy machine is finally finished. Then I’ll make the OFFICIAL POST and give a huge shoutout and thank you to EVERYONE who has been involved in helping me put this build together.

For now… enjoy the teaser. 😏

Last one on the bucket list!!! 🙌 No more after this — time to finish up all the other cars I got. But this one… man, it’s been a dream come true since my drag racing days as a kid. 🏁

Big shoutout to my brother from another mother, Viet Lam, for making this dream and deal happen! Can’t wait to tear down the motor with my brother Thiem and Ai fam and build a dope drag car. I’m not trying to be the fastest — just want to bang some gears again, BBQ at the track, and race with all the OGs like the old days. 🔧🔥

Feels like I’m going back to the beginning — where it all started. 💯 Can’t wait to rock the Auto Image x Team Apokalypse livery on this CRX. What a dream come true… I’m beyond happy right now, words can’t even describe it. ❤️‍🔥
