Trying new things with clay and doing handbuilding with Lily. This was my first time using a hump mold for a head sculpture. I thought mold release would be enough.

Realized the mold release wasn’t working enough to release the clay

Decided to destroy the head and start over, but kept the face

Redid the head sculpture with a plastic bag as a barrier

Loved stepping outside my comfort zone and exploring new ideas. I learn best through trial and error, experimenting, and figuring things out along the way.

How about this outfit that Lily picked out though?! Too cool 👧🏻

Thank you to everyone who stepped into the room with an open heart, shared a piece of their story, and made this gathering so incredibly special. The event reminded us all that we are shaped not just by the books we read, but by the lived experiences behind them. We came together as individuals carrying distinct histories, and we left woven together by a beautiful shared tapestry of stories 💕

We were so fortunate to collaborate with exceptional partners to curate this intentional experience for women of the Asian Diaspora.
