I write love songs 💋
'Sentimental' out now 🤍

POSTS STORIES REELS TAGGED

I landed in Melbourne Friday for 1st time in 28 years. I’ve been playing tourist and checking out the local live scene.

I hit Punters Club Friday night for Coco Elise & Hannie Day, then the Espy Basement Saturday for Torin Harte, Danni K and Liv & The Dream.

Then last night it was Northcote Theatre for something completely different seeing Carl Cox, dropping into Northcote Social to catch up with some old mates from our London days before the show.

I’ve also used the down time to catch up on playlists and have now added the playlists from the last 3 weeks shows. Apologies for the delays. If you are gonna stream then support local WA artists by using these playlists. Please note some artists are only on Tidal and so not on the Spotify list.

Two weeks worth of Best of the West releases 🌊 have a listen, and go catch them at a gig. Perth really is best with the songs in this list!

Feels like a Monday, but it’s definitely Tuesday and that means it’s time for show 130 tonight from 7pm.

I will be chatting to Jess Humby about her new single and later Tanya Ransom about the Women Out West Tour.

There will be lots of new music as always from all around WA.

✨Tune in early from 6pm to hear the WA Music Hour, which features lots of recent releases and a few older tracks too.

It’s the show before the real show - In The Scene which kicks off at 7pm.

📲 Listen LIVE via the hfm website hfm.radio or the COMMUNITY RADIO PLUS app FREE from App Store

Wow what a fantastic weekend in the Wheatbelt. I honestly don’t know where to start.

From the moment I started working with Eliza and her team to raise awareness of Cuby Groove Fest, I could feel they were creating something very special.

This weekend has lifted me out of a not great mental health space, thanks to the abundant positive energy around this whole event.

The careful curation of the music line up and including so many young regional artists created a very special soundtrack to such a fun weekend.

A particularly memorable artist for me has to be The Sisters of Corn. I could easily see this act at Edinburgh Fringe as they seamless fuse, comedy, murder ballads and awesome harmonies into a truly unique experience. Can’t wait til they record some of their music.

Saturday had music from 9am til after midnight all over town with art exhibitions, live mural painting, sand sculpture, dress up, makers markets, animals and so much more.

We finished this morning with an artists breakfast & info session on self-managing, touring and lots more thanks to Southern River Band.
