i only want to see things that make me happy in my feed right now. and what makes me happiest is a reminder to start my day with a long walk, ideally in a big big city, watching life, people and monuments and grabbing the most perfect pecan praline latte 🍁🍂🐿️🐾🌼
bonus points if the architecture is as good as in Washington.
bonus bonus points if you meet a cute puppy.

Episode 9 | Unscripted Office Chat 💼

Finding a great routine to stay inspired keeps me grounded, and honestly, checking out local coffee spots is one of the best parts of exploring our DMV neighborhoods.

When I am out and about spending time in our communities, my favorite spots to visit are @dolcezzagelato and @coffeerepublicdmv , and when I am making a cup at home, I am currently brewing a Mayorga Cubano roast. I like to bring complete focus to everything I do, and enjoying a quality cup along the way is just a great addition to the day.

I am always down to explore somewhere new, so tell me your recommendations. What are your favorite coffee shops or go-to roasts around town? Let me know your top picks below, or better yet, let’s meet up for coffee next week.

Four years of @eatingwithjonni! 🥹🍵🍽️🥂

Thank you so much to each and every one of you for following along these last four years! Through this page I have met so many wonderful people and enjoyed so many fantastic meals. It has been one of my greatest joys to share my dining adventures with you! 🤗

Fun facts about me:

🗣️ My name is pronounced [JAWN-EE]. I am named after my dad.
📍 I am based in the Washington DC area.
🏠 I’m an Army brat— I lived in 17 different houses before I was 21 years old.
👩🏽‍🍳 I worked as a professional pastry chef for 11 years.
🌸 I am extremely passionate about loving Pusheen, the Grinch, Cherry Blossoms, and Pedro Pascal.

📸 Snapshots of year four— it was so hard to narrow it down to just 20 photos! 🤭

Cheers to another year of DC dining!🥂

On family coffee duty every morning bc coffee spelled backwards is eeffoc and I can’t give eeffoc until I’ve had my morning liquid fuel 🌼
Washington has some fantastic coffee outlets. Don’t ever tell me the French or the Italians do it better.
And please like my post for the joke.

I’ve visited this café at CityCenterDC several times and found it to be a great spot for people-watching, whether you’re seated or standing by the window. Indoor seating is limited, but the space feels cozy. They offer a variety of creative gelato and sorbet flavors, plus coffee, tea, and other drinks. However, the baked goods and snacks are quite limited. Service is good, and overall, it’s an excellent place to enjoy a coffee, matcha latte, or gelato.

A rainy day called for pumpkin spice lattes and a little fall gelato tasting @dolcezzagelato 🎃 ☕️🍂 Wetried the pumpkin spice gelato paired with dark chocolate, plus Honeycrisp apple🍎 and Bartlett pear sorbets🍐, all the flavors of autumn in a few scoops!

And obviously, we couldn’t leave without bringing home THREE pints of the pumpkin spice gelato🍨🧡
