while im excited for what’s to come, i’ve found pregnancy painful and depressing. when my therapist first suggested doing a maternity shoot as a way to manufacture the joy i felt i lacked, i dreaded the idea. i let go of what i thought it was ‘supposed’ to look like (a benign portrait of domesticity) and allowed myself to imagine what i wanted it to be (bush out). doing this shoot felt like coming out of hibernation after these long, brooding months. tysm to talented and creative photographer @boy_michi @michaeloharaphoto for bringing this to life.

i drafted a whole post about my 2025 goals—analyzing what i missed and achieved. when i looked back thru my pics from this year i realized id overlooked many unquantifiable & beautiful moments while trying to squish my year into a rigid form i could measure. bc an essential part of creating and meeting goals means readjusting when necessary, here’s a 2025-in-review celebrating my blessings, friends, and the life i’ve built. 💕

lookin back on a blessed year pt 1. good friends good outfits good TEA good trips and good dogs. i published my first 2 print pieces and wrote 9 substacks. i thought it would be easier to choose 20 pics!! i think i will make this a new tradition cause its hard to hold all my memories at once, hard to remember everything a full year contained, without visual reminders. 💕💕💕
