Vintage tees, allegedly haunted dolls and aisles my shoulders barely fit through. Welcome to Dolly Python.

Don’t let the “Dolly on Bishop” signage throw you. This is Dolly Python’s sister store in Bishop Arts District, over here in Dallas, Texas. You might know the other location off Haskell Ave.

I stopped in a few weeks ago for maybe my third visit and met Naida, an adventurous spirit who welcomed me into a store that deserves considerably more exploration than a minute-and-a-half video can offer.

She showed me everything from dolls behind glass that employees say are haunted to various oddities collected and displayed throughout the store. Vintage clothing and memorabilia fill the place so thoroughly that I had to turn sideways in spots to avoid taking something out with my shoulders. 😂

And the band T-shirts? Had I not been out photographing people all afternoon, a few probably would’ve come home with me.

When it was time for Naida’s portraits, I suggested she pull together a look using clothing from the store. The scarf, coat, hat and glasses you’ll see in the photos were all available to purchase, assuming nobody’s beaten you to them. Eclectic pieces that, with a little intention, came together beautifully.

Consider this video the CliffsNotes of our visit. Every time I put the camera down, there was something else worth picking it back up to capture.

Naida, thank you for showing me around, sharing your time and being up for some portraits. What a wonderfully wild little visit.

Went to a few spots over the weekend with my son. First stop was @eastdallasvintageshop which we've never been to! I found a few gems and will be adding it to my list. It's just around the corner from @dollypythonvintage so, of course, we had to stop in. This place has tons of vintage clothes, eclectic decor and so much more! Also, the bronze bust is still there.. how? Someone needs her! Last stop was @cityviewantiquemall where you can find all your primitive decor and antique furniture.
