A third season comes to an end…
As I end an era with a corps, I am entering a new part of my life. Tonight is my first real night alone in my apartment and I cannot sleep, so I am making my post. This summer was maybe the hardest summer I’ve ever done. Between dealing with issues in my personal life, and going to the ER twice, it was a ball of fun. But I knew between everything that didn’t go as planned I could always return to my section and be greeted with genuine smiles, fun, and enjoyment and love of the activity. On the hardest days I always knew someone would be in a good mood to help lift what felt the heaviest. And even if it seemed like my mood was just getting worse and I was getting bitchier by the day, i promise I wasn’t trying to. Sorry Chase. As I remember the summer through these past few days, I remember less the frustrations and more the amount of fun I had with everyone I met. I hope to keep in contact with every single person who I became friends with this season. Thats a hard thing to do, but I’m going to try. I met some amazing people and learned some amazing things.

It’s been a minute since we posted about studio performance class—here’s a throwback!
Performing for peers and getting feedback from professors and friends is one of the best ways we grow as musicians! 🎶❤️

⚠️ Don’t worry—no one was harmed in these photos (well… except maybe the bass drum beater 🤕).
Huge congratulations to the Wind Ensemble, Chamber Orchestra, Symphonic Band, Concert Band, and New Music Ensemble for bringing us a month full of incredible performances in September! 🎶✨ We can’t wait for even more amazing music in the weeks ahead 😍😍
