At the start of summer, @dominicleach63 and I drove the best part of 16 hours to the French Alps for an Americanised Father/Son road trip.

We played golf, hiked, ate good food but most importantly we saw our good French friend @julmalan . My dad met Julian 11 years ago on a ‘lads’ ski trip when Julian was my age ski instructing in Courchevel. Julian 100% thought it was a right laugh that my 50 year old Dad was trying to keep up with him in every aspect of ski culture but the friendship has stayed strong since.

Julian has since climbed the ranks to be head of ESF in La Tania, Courchevel at 37, My dad is now over 60 and about to retire (not on skiing that’s for sure) and I’m 26 starting a new career - an interesting dynamic but an extremely wholesome one.

Great spending time with my dad like this and to have Julian along is always a bonus
