This was me at my absolute lowest.

Going through a Lost Mary daily, bank in overdraft for 2 years, never left the house, didn’t see any friends, just weak and unchanging.

In November 2022, my childhood best friend Katie moved to London and invited me to the gym she was the manager of. I was looking for an excuse to quit vaping, so I said fuck it.

After the first few weeks (when I stopped coughing up my lungs) I started to feel my personality defrost. I made new friends, stopped under-eating, and found an excuse to leave the house after years of social isolation.

While I was still not on speaking terms with my music career, I went through the schooling to become a personal trainer in the hopes of changing people’s lives as Katie had done mine.

My body began to change. More importantly, i was surrounding myself with people from all over the world, all together in one place for the same purpose. To be stronger.

Something that irked me as a coach was when people would say “I can’t do it, it’s too hard”. That’s when it hit me. I had been saying the same thing to myself for years as an excuse to not do what I truly loved - making music.

So between shifts, I would write and record parts of this song in the very place where I not only helped others build themselves, but myself as well.

After years of weakness and self-doubt, I chose to let it all live in the music.

I would not have had the strength to get up and try again without the support from my coworkers and the members of F45 Battersea Park. They even came to my album release party two weeks ago. We got very drunk. a dream of spring is out now <3
