Lots of fun today at HONK! Fest & Parade and Cambridge Oktoberfest! So many creative costumes, activist street bands & musicians both local & national, and a parade of community organizations and progressive/leftist organizations. I haven’t been in a few years, and the only disappointment was that Grolier Poetry Store didn’t have a stage like they did last time I went. I used to say that Cambridge probably has the only Oktoberfest that includes poetry readings right down the street from the beer garden (well, it’s probably still the only Oktoberfest that has leftist marching bands playing).
