meet the encore class of 2026–2027! 🎀🎭

after such a special summer with the sound of music, we’re so excited to officially introduce the five young artists who will make up our very first encore class. 💕

encore is homebound theatre’s pre-professional teen ensemble, created for young artists who want to train, grow, and really dig into their craft. over the next year, these five will be taking a variety of classes, dancing, singing, performing, and getting lots of opportunities to learn and grow together.

we truly couldn’t be more excited about this group or what’s ahead for them. 🥹

Thank you will never be enough @dancealabama. If you know me, you know this organization means the world to me. I have dreaded these final bows for four years, but am so proud of what we have accomplished. Home will always be on this stage with these people no matter where life takes us. I could write a novel about how much I love DA! and how lucky I feel to lead the people I love most, but I will just leave it at #SICKMOVES forever and always!💜

It’s impossible to put this week into words.

Between the long days, the laughter, the little moments no one notices, and the moments that take your breath away, something quietly shifted. I found myself more present, more connected, more alive than I ever expected. What once felt like just another week now feels like a place where I belong.

DA! has given me so much more than I ever imagined, but it’s the people here who made it everything.

To the seniors: you’ve left a mark on me that I’ll carry forever. You’ve taught me that loving something isn’t just about passion, it’s about showing up, being brave, and giving your whole heart. You’ve shaped the way I see dance, but also the way I see possibility, courage, and love.

Thank you for letting me learn from you, laugh with you, stumble with you, and grow alongside you. I hope you see how much of yourself lives in the people around you. You’ve made us better, stronger, & braver.

I’m endlessly grateful for this place, and for the hearts in it. You are all irreplaceable, and I love you more than words could ever hold 💜
