Today I had the honor of preaching alongside some incredible leaders in our church. My message was centered around my baby girl, Riah. Seeing her in the front row in my husband’s arms was so special. And after preaching about releasing my grip, I held the sweetest reminder of why surrender is always worth it. God is faithful.

Watching you become a father has been one of the greatest joys of my life. People would ask me “What do you look forward to about becoming a mom?” And my answer would be “That my daughter will have a father like Don.”

Our daughter may be too little to put it into words, but I already know she feels safe in your arms, seen by your eyes, and covered by your prayers.
You are the answer to so many prayers I’ve prayed 🥹

I love doing life and parenthood with you. This is our ministry! We’re only just getting started, but I know this: our daughter is blessed beyond measure to call you Dad and I’m beyond honored to call you my husband & BABY DADDY 🤭😌.

Happy Mother’s Day!! Exactly 4 weeks ago I gave birth to our precious baby girl.

To the one who made me a mama, Riah, you are heaven’s promise in my arms. You’ve changed my heart forever.

And to the one who stood with me as I became a mother, Don, your steadfast love, strength, and faith have built the foundation of this new season.

Thank you for making space for me to grow, for believing in me, and for leading our family with grace. This day holds more meaning than I ever imagined and we’re just getting started.

A triumphant entry 🫶🏾

Riah Jovanni Vatel made her debut on April 13th - Palm Sunday at 2:25am — a living reminder that our God restores.

Her name carries the weight of heaven:
Riah — a declaration of God’s presence
Jovanni — a testimony that God is gracious

Last year, the day before Palm Sunday, we experienced loss.

This year, on Palm Sunday, we held promise.

“I will restore to you the years the locusts have eaten.”
Joel 2:25

He is faithful. She is here. And our hearts are full. Thank you Jesus!
