Happy first wedding anniversary, Peyton and Dylan!

One year ago, I was in Santa Barbara, California, filming their incredible wedding celebrations. And what a weekend it was!

This trailer opens with one of my favourite moments from the entire wedding. Peyton spontaneously jumping on stage with the band and singing her heart out to Pink Pony Club.

Completely unplanned. No warning. No second take.

And that’s exactly why I stay until the very end of a wedding.

My approach has always been about documenting the day as it naturally unfolds, rather than directing moments for the camera. I don’t pack up when the formalities are over, because you never know what’s going to happen next.

And on this occasion, I’m rather glad I was still there, camera in hand!

Peyton and Dylan, thank you for welcoming me so warmly into your celebrations and trusting me to tell your story. It was an absolute pleasure to be part of it.
