It feels really special to be sharing this 🤎

For 5 beautiful years, my world revolved around my bakery. Long nights, early mornings, and so much love poured into every detail. When I became a mom, I chose to close that chapter and focus on my growing family.

But some things never change… and my love for this industry is one of them.

I grew up working with Callebaut chocolate, used it throughout my years as a pastry chef, and built my bakery with it, so this next chapter feels incredibly full circle.

I’m very excited to share that I’ve officially started a new chapter with Barry Callebaut 🍫

While I may not be in the kitchen anymore, I’m still deeply connected to the craft, just from a different perspective. Now, I get to share chocolate, support it, and help bring it to life in a whole new way.

Grateful to be learning, growing, and surrounded by such an incredible team.

Mike Ortiz talks about Miami the way people do when they actually live in it.

Not the tourist version. Not the same played-out reservation circuit everybody keeps pretending is the whole city. He’s naming the places that make the neighborhoods feel alive. Tea Room, Bar Bucce, Sonny’s, The Citadel, USBS, Miami Shores Fish Market, Vice City Bean, Kaiju, Michael’s Genuine, Drinking Pig, Whisk, Atelier Monnier. Different corners of the city, different moods, but all real spots with their own thing going on.

What makes this one good is how much love he gives to the people behind it. Mikey at USBS. Franco. Raheem at Drinking Pig. Puan at Palma. You can tell he’s not just chasing dishes, he respects operators who actually give a shit. That’s what this sounds like when it comes from somebody who’s plugged in for real.

And when he shouts out places like Alter, Kaido, and Ember, that’s the deeper part of the conversation. He’s not just talking about what’s good right now. He’s talking about the places that changed the city and left something behind. That’s why when he says Michael’s Genuine closing for renovations made Miami feel different, you know exactly what he means. Some places are bigger than the menu. They become part of the rhythm of the city.

That’s really the takeaway here. Miami has way more depth than the same ten places people keep running to. You just have to know where to look.

What a Saturday…we seem to keep our days filled to the brim and this one was a great one!

Started the morning assistant coaching with @mariasarmiento_pickleball for a @24sevenpb clinic for advanced beginners! What a great crew and clinic.

Afterwards, recreational pickleball was fueled by @donaposada empanadas and croquetas….the breakfast of champions, of course! Baby Auggie got to hang with one of his favorites @the.ms.craig and had soooo many giggles. 🤭🥰

After a short stop at the office, we finished the afternoon @japanfesflorida with a visit to @mattarisurumiami for Thai tea and yummy snacks! Again, Auggie got to giggle and smile at some of his favorites ❤️🙏
