Part 1: Sturgeon Bay

Can’t believe it’s been a month since this incredible weekend! Hands down my favourite weekend of the summer. There is so much to share from this wild adventure, I have to divide it into multiple posts!

Slept amazingly in the camper, check! Made it to a new provincial park, called to drive north not south, check!
Got blown around in a canoe on Georgian Bay and did not catch a sturgeon, check! Arrived at the most perfect pink cotton candy sky moment, check!

This was honestly the perfect way to leave August. ☺️

More to come!

Happy October 1st everyone. 🫶

I think this is what they mean when they say home is where you lay your head. When we are in the truck no matter where we are. It feels like #home . This has easily become one of my #happy places. On an #adventure #wherever that might be, after we #explored all day, driving or on foot… we get to climb into the back of the #truck, turn the lights on low, put a #movie on and #snuggle up next to each other. 💖

The past two weeks have been difficult. Heartbreaking, violent, extreme. It all feels too heavy. Amplified on social media. And despite the time suck and over consumption of pain and opinions social media breeds, there are beautiful things going on in the world. Going on in our lives, which deserves our attention. The genuine emotion I feel has forced me to reevaluate the way I engage with it.
This eclipse portal has rocked us. Changed us, for the better. Uncomfortable and important. We intend to walk with deeper truth, sink into the core of who we are, focus on our dreams with more certainty, and ensure that no matter what, we are in integrity with ourselves.

Cory and I both got super sick this week.. and it continues to bring up the complicated topic of health. From our bodies, to society, to the earth. I am ready to move OUT of this eclipse season and into fall. I’m also ready for some soften times in my cleaning business. We are in need of more focused time and more time together RELAXING. Exciting things are indeed ahead for us. And we gratefully lean on one another, knowing we are building a spectacular life together and nothing is more important than that.

So please, enjoy with me these photos from August - which deserve a spotlight. If you didn’t know, my family and my cottage mean the world to me. Both have been my place of happiness growing up. And to have a partner that so seamlessly, and excitedly fits into that part of my life.. there is no greater feeling. The friendship between my boyfriend and my sister. The pride my dad has for my relationship. The fun all of us have when we get together. The freedom and support Cory and I offer each other.. it's all so meaningful. And best of all, the love and empowerment I feel from this man.. every friggin day! What a life indeed. Despite us having some ROUGH experiences lately.. we also ALWAYS have moments like these.. and overall, life is absolutely, positively, beautiful.

When the world goes mad, we got each other💞

The sunsetting behind us, an adventure in front of us, and a whole lotta love between us.
Thank goodness for road trips, our camper and some much needed time in the woods.

💖 This man deserved a shout out!
I'm not sure if I give him enough credit, if he knows how deeply I appreciate him. His efforts, his care, his genuine - I'm your man and I got you - way of being. 💝

His patience and understanding are unmatched. For whatever reason he adores me which makes it so much easier when life is challenging and overwhelming. Or when awful shit is just randomly happening because Mercury retrograde starts in a few days! 🤪

I would follow you to the ends of the Earth.. (and I intend too!). I will do my best to take care of all the little things that are annoying or difficult for you. It is a beautiful thing to love and embrace you for exactly who and how you are.

Thank you for always being at my service! 🫠
For making my life bigger, for helping me heal my heart, and for encouraging me to get after it! You tell me all the time - we got this.
You have supported me in becoming a stronger, more capable woman.. and for that, I will always be up for a ride! (No matter how hot or how cold it is outside).

PS - It's been so hot out, I thought I'd cool us all down! ..Although with this gorgeous creature, I'm not sure that's possible.🥵
