And the real winner is….. SWISS JAMAICA’S GARLIC SAUCE!

Thick, creamy, flavourful… we loved the Garlic Sauce with the diverse food selection; wings, fries, chicken, sandwhich, CORN (clearly the crowd favorite)😂

Honestly we had a little too much fun… Right guys? @doneka_ @_.kalifa

Who do you guys think was the real winner?

A few days ago, I was having a rough week. Nothing was going the way I wanted it to. It seemed like months of hard work on the farm wasn't paying off. I felt demotivated and totally frustrated. It just wasn't what I wanted. Something inside kept saying I should give thanks for what I got, but I couldn't accept it. I'd worked hard and did everything right for success. So, my disappointment grew into anger. In that very same week, I got a call from my wife in the middle of my frustration to say that my son wanted to spend a day with me. You see, I had given up so many days with him to make my farm work, and now it hasn't given me the rewards I felt I deserved.

I spoke to my son and told him I'd spend Saturday with him, and he agreed and even seemed excited. So on Saturday morning I asked him what he wanted to do. And you know what he said? He wanted to visit the farm, and I was surprised at his request. Given that it's the single place that had robbed me of so much time to spend with him in the first place. At his request to the farm we went. And while I spent the day with him on the farm, my frustration grew into drive, I was no longer angry but ready again to put one foot in front of the other. I remembered why I was doing this. It wasn't for me, but for them.

My son reminded me of what got us here in the first place. It's my overwhelming desire to make their (my kids') life better by being a provider. Not just a provider for them. But one for us. Farming has some major challenges, but there is no challenge greater than living with one hand tied behind your back in a brawl. And we're in that brawl now as a country. We need to open our eyes and see how important it is to feed ourselves. The journey must continue.
