A year ago today was Masons first ever jiujitsu tournament in Fullerton @jjworldleague . He walked away that day without a medal, super bummed out.
Today at the same location, he won 2/3 of his matches with one submission, walking away with a 3rd place medal 🥉.
I’m so proud of how far he has grown with Jiujitsu this past year. Seeing him so excited about how he did, makes the stress of watching him on the mat worth it.
Thank you so much for all the training and support @checkmatmurrieta @bjjexclusivemurrieta he couldn’t have done it without all the amazing professors and coaches! 🖤🤍
