It was a whole fun day yesterday but here was the last meal of the day at @donjuansgrill in the historic section Glendale, Arizona.

Their Friday special was the Fajitas and they brought out both of these plates, it’s all for one entree!! And they didn’t cheap out on the meat. It was so good! I got the chile relleno combo (so they brought out that THIRD plate), it was so much food and we spent about $32 before tip. Insane! And very yummy.

We could only eat about half before we were stuffed, so we brought home the leftovers for our kids, 2 full giant take home boxes. They were like, this was just the leftovers! And proceeded to eat it all!

I’d been here before but got the pleasure of taking my husband here for the first time last night. He was so impressed.

Happy 6th birthday sweet boy!

I can't believe he's not five anymore. It is amazing watching him grow and learn every single day.

This past year, his favorite activity has been going to arcades. Even when we were in Orlando for Walt Disney World, he was so excited that our resort had a clubhouse with an arcade.

Husband surprised him in the morning by telling him we were going to Round1 Arcade at our local mall.
Next surprise...Desert Ridge for lunch at Island's and arcade number two, Dave & Busters.
Everyone's favorite game here was Stranger Things, where players throw foam-like balls at a huge digital screen to attack monsters like Demogorgons and Vecna. We played this one multiple times!
Final surprise was Castles N' Coasters for more arcade fun.

Birthday boy said this was the best day ever! I've heard of bar hopping, but never "arcade hopping"!

Even though his actual birthday was a few days ago, little guy was treated to a surprise birthday treat today at lunch (Don Juan's) as we didn't make it there for dinner on his actual birthday.

It's always a good time at Blue Corn Cafe & Bakery!

Now there are even more good times to be had with the new Blue Corn Express that just opened up around the corner. We attended the ribbon cutting ceremony/grand opening this past Monday.

With their extended hours, this means that I can get the same great coffee AFTER 2pm...Taco Tuesday dinner at Don Juan's just got better.
