Not sure how many people know this about me, but I grew up in a very Catholic home. My parents were part of La Comunidad Siervos de Cristo Vivo in the Dominican Republic and later founded the Miami chapter, traveling around the world preaching and sharing their faith.

Through them, I had the incredible blessing of knowing Padre Emiliano Tardif. Growing up, I witnessed thousands come to his Masses searching for healing. I saw people arrive in wheelchairs and walk out, the sick be healed, and the blind and deaf experience healing. Imagine witnessing that as a child. It shaped my understanding of faith in ways I probably didn’t fully comprehend until much later in life. 🙏🏼

But to me and my sisters, he was so much more. He was family. We loved him like a grandfather. He prayed for us, guided us, stayed in our home, and ate his favorite Oreo cookies with us. ❤️

Padre Tardif passed away when I was 18, but his legacy and the faith he awakened in so many continue today.

His story is now being told on the big screen in DAY EIGHT. I watched it with my family and cried through almost the entire movie. Seeing someone who meant so much to us and shaped such an important part of my childhood was incredibly emotional.

Please go see DAY EIGHT. I hope his story touches you and reminds you, as it reminded me, of God’s mercy, love and glory. ❤️🙏🏼

I have to admit… when I first heard the World Cup was coming to the United States, I thought, “There’s no way this is going to have the same magic.”

I couldn’t have been more wrong.

This summer, I got to experience my very first World Cup match, cheer alongside fans from every corner of the world, collect jerseys from almost every Latin American country, and somehow become the friend everyone now calls “Miss Mundial.” 😝⚽️

The energy. The passion. The cities. The people. The friendships created over nothing more than a shared love for the game.

Maybe that was the most beautiful part of all. For a few weeks, the World Cup made the world feel a little smaller and a little kinder. At a time when so much tries to divide us, football brought us together and maybe even healed us a bit.

Congratulations to Argentina on an incredible tournament. 🇦🇷🤍 And congratulations to Spain on becoming World Champions! 🇪🇸🏆 Thanks to Pepe, this victory feels a little more personal. ❤️💛
