THE BRIDGE OF KHAZAD-DÛM

Deep beneath Moria, Gandalf stands his ground against Durin’s Bane.

The ancient bridge gives way, sending the Balrog plunging into the fiery abyss.

For a moment, the danger appears to have passed.

Then the whip returns.

A burning coil catches Gandalf’s legs and drags him over the edge. Suspended above the darkness, the wizard clings desperately to the last stones of the bridge.

I never thought I’d have to make a post like this, but our sweet Pippin needs us. 💔

She’s only 2 years old, and we recently found out that she is in heart failure and needs surgery. She is still just a baby, and it breaks my heart to think that she could have so much life ahead of her and we might not be able to give her the chance she deserves.

Anyone who knows me knows how much my animals mean to me, and Pippin is no exception. She is such a sweet, goofy, loving little girl, and we are absolutely heartbroken and scared right now. We’re doing everything we can to get her the treatment she needs, but the cost is more than we can manage on our own.

If you’re able to donate, even a small amount would help us tremendously. And if you can’t donate, sharing this fundraiser would mean just as much. ❤️

Please help us give our girl a chance to come home and keep being Pippin. 🐾💗 LINK IN BIO

“There is more in you of good than you know, child of the kindly West. Some courage and some wisdom, blended in measure. If more of us valued food and cheer and song above hoarded gold, it would be a merrier world.“

“it was said to me that i should find friendship upon the way, secret and unlooked for. to have found it turns evil to great good!” —jrr tolkien, ‘the two towers’

thank you to the gorgeous geeks who mobilized to fly me across the world to @comic_con. it was such a delight to dance and laugh and dine with the loves of my life in @theringsofpower, at @primevideo, and in the lotr community at large.

for nearly half a decade, ROP has indiscriminately brought together the most beautiful people from all walks of life into this sprawling, love-filled tolkiensphere. how grateful i am to this show for granting me the most precious of all fellowships. i will be ✨sat✨ with a ferocity for season 3 ❣️

The last time I went to San Diego Comic Con was about 15 years ago and I said I’m not coming back unless I’m on a panel…. So I’m very grateful to @adams_media and @simonandschuster and @nattie.mac and Gia and Cindy (whose @‘s I don’t have!) for making that happen this year. It was a total blast to do this panel with @donmarshall72 (you should absolutely get his books, they’re great) and so lovely to chat with so many writers (and a reminder — if you write, you’re a writer, no need to call yourself an “aspiring” writer unless you actually haven’t written anything yet, in which case what are you waiting for???? My books will help get you started, if you didn’t grab them at comic con, get them at your favorite book store, or order them now from anywhere books are sold). #bookstagram
