🎶 Happy 44th anniversary to the original Broadway production of @catsmusical — the version that featured my favorite costume designs of them all, when they look like weird, scruffy, and completely-individually-distinct-in their-scruffiness, art projects. On my most recent visit to London this summer, I got to do a photoshoot with Old Broadway Bomba in a Soho alleyway with the incredible @dbennettphotography, who so perfectly captured that gritty 80s aesthetic in the photos we got. Many many more to come.

Swipe to see photos of my reference material (which drastically varies in appearance, which was a wonderful challenge to grapple with while making this costume) from the original production, featuring @donna_king_ in that gorgeous costume.

Wig, unitard, tail, warmers, and gloves by me.

🐈 These photos taken by @curiousbeasttm at the @brooklyndinerus right outside @masqueradenyc’s @broadwayrave immediately reminded me of Edward Hopper’s Nighthawks.

Swipe for my reference — @donna_king_’s original Broadway Bombalurina design from 1982. Which, by the way, can be seen with about 10 different wigs across the photos that still exist!

I think I’m finally 80% happy with this wig, 50% of the time. These photos are the best this wig has ever looked (one outstanding photoshoot’s results notwithstanding).

We gave dear Tim Curry a full house for Muppet Treasure Island at this benefit screening for the Santa Fe Children’s Museum in Santa Fe this past August. The local puppet troupe called the pickle puppet posse turned out to greet the kids and families. Tim@and Miss Piggy were@awesome@together. Easy to see why Tim regarded her as the love@of his life who got away. Fair winds dear Captain. It was an honor to serve and work with you on this wonderful film. Gentleman of fortune you will always be.

May(be) this time I’ll be Lucky 🍀
Can’t put into words how incredible these past few weeks have been, I have felt like the luckiest girl in the world having so many wonderful people come to see me perform, making beautiful connections with new friends, saw @heathergourdie & @thejacksterman get engaged, got stabbed, saw a dinosaur and got to be Marilyn Monroe💋

Marilyn: The Woman Behind the Icon ended its run on Sunday, and what a debut it was. This trial production thrilled audiences, and the response was extraordinary.

Now we are developing the show and cannot wait to bring it back, bigger and bolder, with a longer script and more music!

And for the Marilyn fans, we have something exciting to share on 1st June for her birthday ✨
