With arts week approaching, l thought l might share some of my own pieces, l did not get into any space’s this year for any of my textile pieces, however l will be posting some virtual little tours of my own work from home over the next month, hope to see you there, if interested in any of my work please do not hesitate to contact me.

Mixed media, recycled fabrics, paints, cut out butterflies, even some shoe diamanté’s and plaster Paris.

A piece l worked on @wwetb_watd_vtos with the fabulous @donnamcart tutoring in combined materials, 2019, l love how the light hits it.

Would appreciate any shares likes or posts to push out what l do please and thank you 😍

Massive hugs 🤗

Wikipedia definition of coppice(verb): "Coppicing is the traditional method in woodland management of cutting down a tree to a stump, which in many species encourages new shoots to grow from the stump or roots, thus ultimately regrowing the tree."

For this art exhibition, “Post Coppice” refers to a psychological space, brought on by an event which forces considerable life changes.

It refers to a place where there is mourning. There is letting go of ideas of what you thought your life would be like. It may be a place of pain, but it is here that a new future is forged by growing, (perhaps for the first time), in the direction of your own conscious choosing.

Themes of weather, the elements, land, sea and sky, nature and the body, run through the show. In the presentation of this collection of works, there is an intention to honour the vast range of powerful, visceral emotions that may show up post-coppice.
