A era disco deixou saudades por aí? Deixa nos comentários!

Before the world had a name for “disco,” Donna Summer walked onto Soul Train… and changed music forever. 🎤💖

📺 Soul Train · March 20, 1976
Donna Summer performs “Love To Love You Baby” — the song that didn’t just open a door for disco… it kicked it off the hinges.

Seventeen minutes of pure seduction pressed onto vinyl. A breathy whisper that became a global heartbeat. A young woman from Boston, recording in Munich with producer Giorgio Moroder, who reinvented what a pop record could feel like.

When Don Cornelius introduced her on that Soul Train stage, audiences were meeting the future Queen of Disco in real time. The sequins. The hair. The smile. That voice — soft as silk, powerful as a thunderclap. She didn’t just sing the song. She lived it. And America couldn’t look away.

“Love To Love You Baby” was banned by some radio stations, played on repeat by everyone else, and went on to become the blueprint for an entire era — Studio 54, mirror balls, four-on-the-floor, the freedom to feel good in your own body.

Donna gave us “I Feel Love,” “Hot Stuff,” “Bad Girls,” “Last Dance,” “MacArthur Park”… but this moment, right here in 1976, is where the legend was born.

Five Grammys. A Rock & Roll Hall of Fame induction. A voice that still moves dance floors half a century later.

Rest in power, Queen. 👑✨
Donna Summer (1948 – 2012)

🎶 Turn it up. Feel everything. That’s what she’d want. 💃

Compliments to: retrokingdanny 🌟
