Haaaaave you met Donny? ici’s first featured artist is Donny Morin - @donnylikesskulls - painter, builder and orange cat dad.

Focusing primarily on painterly realism, his work explores the concepts of memory in nostalgia in the current era. Through a mix of classical renaissance techniques and digital media he attempts to create an environment that is both familiar and ethereal. Drawing inspiration from his phone’s cameraroll, he depicts both intimate and extroverted moments all can relate to.

We’re thrilled Donny took a chance on us when he signed on to be our first artist and can’t wait to share his work to you all on May 8th. Tickets for the show are available through the link in our bio

Trying to be more present, take risks, trust my gut and enjoy friends and loved ones ❤️

Here’s a poem:

You’re my shadow that lingers all day,
until the sun disappears and then you follow me to bed.
Your body crawls over me,
and I look at the moon
longing for it to turn back to the sun
and for your body to be my shadow again.

another year around the sun, older yes wiser eh. A whole year of work and life and let’s be honest mostly work. One whole year of shop owning and event doing and so. much. sewing. more than possible/feasible/recommended and somehow it all happened. A big drop of evidence here. also friends and love and maybe even some fun (its all fun baby❤️)
