Thank you to the Hampton Lake community for welcoming myself and Nancy Lacore today. I spoke about one of the biggest challenges facing Beaufort County: affordability. The teachers, police officers, firefighters and nurses who serve our communities should be able to afford to live here. That’s why I’m proposing a Beaufort County Development Fund - bringing public, private and community partners together to more proactively support workforce housing and expand access to capital for locally owned small businesses. Nancy spoke powerfully about the need for change at every level of government and for leaders who will stand up for the people who live and work here. Our local dollars should work for local people. That’s how we build a stronger Beaufort County. #BeaufortCounty #BlufftonSC #HamptonLake #AffordableHousing #smallbusiness

🧐Did You Know? 🌱#4 - Meet Logan Harsta, Chief Supply Chain Officer (CSCO) at Hardee Greens! Logan's Hardee Greens story began long before he officially joined our leadership team. While earning his B.S.B.A. in Operations & Supply Chain from the University of South Carolina's Darla Moore School of Business, he spent nearly every weekend back home helping transform our former church building into the vertical farm you see today. From renovations and building grow rooms to learning every step of the growing process, Logan has been part of Hardee Greens from the very beginning. One of the highlights of his college years was completing a summer study abroad internship with Growy in Amsterdam, where he focused on controlled environment agriculture and the production of edible flowers. That experience brought new ideas and valuable knowledge back to Hardee Greens. Today, Logan oversees inventory forecasting, customer order management, fulfillment, and streamlining our day-to-day operations to ensure our greens get from our farm to your table as efficiently as possible. We're especially excited about one of his newest projects! Working alongside a mentor from the Don Ryan Center for Innovation, Logan is helping develop a custom ordering app designed specifically for Hardee Greens. This innovative tool will make ordering even easier for our commercial restaurant and retail partners while supporting our continued growth. A proud Lowcountry native, Logan attended May River Montessori before graduating from Hilton Head Christian Academy in 2021. Away from the farm, you'll usually find him on the golf course, out on the boat, or enjoying the beach with his brothers and closest friends. Around the farm, though, he's best known for keeping the entire team laughing with his quick wit and great sense of humor! 💚 We're grateful to have Logan's dedication, innovation, and leadership helping Hardee Greens continue to grow. #DidYouKnow #MeetTheTeam #HardeeGreens #LocalsServingLocals #VerticalFarming #LowcountryLocal #FarmToTable #SupportLocal #FreshFromTheFarm #InnovationInAgriculture #Microgreens #ControlledEnvironmentAgriculture
