THOMAS CHOINACKY ON SOLEIL KOHL

“I’m awed by your skill of improvisation to the unknown and unexpected. We, the audience, had a level of control to your show and you were cheerfully prepared for any object or twist that was yelled out in your performance. How are you managing all the variables?! Your ability to not be precious and flow or jerk in response to the audience is such a feat.”

DAISY NEEDS YOUR HELP 🌼

But seriously, after trying a ton of new ideas in Edinburgh I’m super excited to bring @dontkilldaisy to Philly when earlier this year I brought @dragonfishshow there — this is the complete opposite vibe.

Philly Fringe! You’ve got 4 chances to catch this show that 5 separate audience reviews have called “insane”

It’s a high risk high reward roguelite show that sits somewhere between a JRPG, bad trip, & kid putting on a play in your living room. Fully controlled by the audience, DONT K*LL DAISY is a campy anime-fueled satire on the responsibility of What We Should Do and How We Should Do It.

Every audience member chooses an object that will save Daisy’s life, change her destiny, or destroy her.

PLEASE SAVE OUR GREAT HERO

Thank you to @no_proscenium for the awesome review of Denver Fringe shows that land smack dab in the middle of the immersive category or playfully cavort within it!

From clown shows that “crashed through the fourth wall” to immersive shows that “nailed the formula for what immersive shows should be” — Danielle Riha explores six shows from the 2026 Denver Fringe. Find the article at the link in BIO

A few snaps of Don’t Kill Daisy in one of its first iterations.

The show has really come so far and will continue developing each time I do it. It’s cool to keep finding it!

Despite the fact that the show is very fun, and literally no one but me knows or cares about what my intentions are (because the show is whatever the show you experience at the end of the day) it is fueled by several things I am curious about: CYOA narratives, fate versus autonomy, game-based economies, dystopia, environmental disaster, shame, “I wish I could help,” socio-political collapse, nostalgia as stability, time travel, escapism, the ability to choose, white women, good and evil, numbness to violence, Pringles, children’s games, superheroes.

It is all in there, somewhere, or will be eventually. And I am finding how does all of that weight become light and fun.

Come play this summer/fall! We’ll see where else it goes.

From a no‑net improv high‑wire act to a prop‑driven death‑loop comedy, Hollywood Fringe 2026 offered two closing-week solo shows that stretched the form in opposite, exhilarating directions.

"The Solo Show SHOW"

and

"Don't Kill Daisy"

Immersive Scene Los Angeles was there to catch them both. Read our impressions at:
