After sharing a week of tragedy and sadness in my feed, it’s time for some happy memories & shoutout to my friends! Thanks y’all! Love sharing my favorite music festival with so many of you.
Pickathon & pickleball are not so dissimilar: they both create community & togetherness like nothing else I’ve ever experienced. I LOVE the community I’ve helped build via both of these things. Thank you to everyone who made Pickathon memorable this year. It’s an incredible stack of cards that come together to make it happen. Thank you to the artists who came out. We hope it lived up to the hype. We’re grateful to you for sharing your gifts with us.
Following the death of my friend, Anne, this week, I was moved to go reread her favorite children’s book, Ms. Rumphius. The book reminds us “to do something to make the world more beautiful.” I plan to continue to live this way & hope you’ll all join me. Love to you all & wish I had more photos of everyone who was there. More to come. Keeping the joy alive.

53 plaid pantries, 102.7 miles, 11.5 hours

I never would have thought that I would do a century ride, not necessarily for lack of fitness, but because they in general don't seem... fun. but this, this insane idea born of pure silliness and willpower is exactly the kind of thing that can get me excited, motivated, and totally invested in biking one hundred miles in a day.

the route was awesome, and made me feel so steeped in and connected to this incredible city. I cannot believe how many people showed up for this, and I think that 30+ people rode this as their first ever century goes to show the power of fun and silliness and bikes. everyone I ran into was so welcoming and friendly and the group I ended up finishing the ride took me in as one of their own.

also, I wore my 18c linen shirt that I finished the night before. move over lycra, this is the ultimate cycling shirt and it's not even close. so breezy, so comfortable, why did we ever leave this behind.

It’s that time of year again, Open Studios is just a few weeks away - mark your calendar for a weekend full of art!

Thank you for sharing and getting the word out about our unique space with some of Portland’s most talented artists. Our artists work so hard all year to make this event one of Portland’s hidden gems! 💎

It’s one of those “if you know, you know” events. It truly is a magical weekend unlike any other market or street fair. Getting to see where the artists create their work is so inspiring.
