Words can’t describe how spiritually transformative “The Family Reunion” was. I’m beyond grateful to have experienced a weekend of pure joy, healing, connection, catharsis, and bipoc LGBTQIA+ liberation. I’m grateful for every person who helped plan this retreat and to think that this all started by a few of us who needed to kiki is truly a blessing.

I’m excited to announce that I am an Associate Professor of Dance at @nunewyorkcity @nunycdance . This fall semester marks the inaugural NYC campus for NU. I’m grateful to be apart of an incredible faculty who is committed to the success of our students and ushering in the next generations of dancers while upholding the legacy of Marymount Manhattan College.

Happy DCI finals week to all of the marching members, staff, judges, volunteers, and spectators. This season I had the honor and the pleasure of teaching the @thecavaliers @cavaliersguard thanks to my dear friend @johnnynohair . It’s truly amazing to see young performers get up each day and work towards achieving the impossible. Giving back to the marching arts in this capacity is extremely rewarding and I’m very grateful for this opportunity. Winning is more than a medal. To me, winning is walking off the field at finals knowing you had the best show of your life. To the Cavaliers Colorguard, go out there and shine bright like the stars you are.

I’m so grateful for spending a week living in unprecedented queer joy with these misfits. Words can’t describe the bond that is shared that allows for us to express and explore ourselves freely, authentically, and unapologetically. 🔥🏝️🏳️‍🌈🏳️‍⚧️😎✨

Check out this steamy article in @gq where I talk about the old guard history of passing leather gear down from person to person as a community tradition. The event celebrated the 41st anniversary of the @tomoffinlandfoundation. To read more about the event and how you can support the foundation click the link in my bio.

I recently had the opportunity to share how spiritually transformative it was to be an artist in residence at the @tomoffinlandfoundation for the 41st anniversary celebration. Congrats to the amazingly chic NYC Board members for producing a wonderful event. Click the link in my bio to see more pics and read about the event featured in @voguemagazine

As summer comes to a close I want to take time reflect on a memory with chosen family. We threw glitter, sparkled, shined, and kiki’d. Most importantly, we held space for each other to just be. ✨💖🪩🏳️‍⚧️🏳️‍🌈💋

In June I had the honor of co directing the 3rd annual pride residency with @wade.dance at @nyutischdance . Our residency offers queer identifying choreographers over 70hrs of rehearsal space, a fully produced concert, choreographic mentorship, and accesss to marketing and promotional materials. We believe in cultivating spaces and creating opportunities for LGBTQIA+ artists to create work that speaks to queer identity. I’m pictured below holding a panel discussion with the choreographers after their show. Thank you @matteinigiada and Wade for your allyship and dedication to the LGBTQIA+ community.

This summer I had the honor of being on guard staff at the @thecavaliers thanks to my dear friend and caption head @johnnynohair. I had the pleasure of teaching dance. It was such a gift to give back to the activity and to play a small part in the colorguard’s immense growth this season. @cavaliersguard go out there and turn it 💚! It is my wish that every performer in @dciphotos finals will have the best show of their lives.
