For 35 of my 38 years in higher education, NASPA has been more than just a professional organization- it has been my home. I am deeply grateful for all of the extraordinary individuals who make a difference every day through their wisdom, compassion, optimism and unwavering support of student success. Their dedication to fostering an engaged, educated, and informed citizenry is more important now than ever. The collegiality, mentorship, support, and lifelong friendships within NASPA are unparalleled. I’m proud of our award winners, leadership and members and am honored to be be part of this remarkable community.

Some shots from BK’s retirement party at the top floor of the Massart tower. So many friends, family, colleagues, and clients came out to celebrate his fantastic career. His speech, that BK stands for ‘Be Kind’, will go down in history as one of the sweetest ever!
Thanks to all who helped make this party happen - especially Quinton for party planning and adorable invitations, Maureen for orchestrating the venue, Colleen (awesome idea to quote BK-isms all over the room!) and everyone who attended, filling the room with joy and love.

Taking a day off, I went to Tatte, in one of those pensive moods where I am reflecting on all the good that has happened since my cancer scare (when I got a tattoo to celebrate my recovery). This is what they delivered…I have no words

Second image: two of my “art mothers” who taught me papermaking in the late 80s, Marilyn Pappas and Ann Wessmann, and who continue to inspire with incredible fiber sculpture. Thank you to everyone that came by the last two weeks to show their support. My heart is so full🖤 You all are what drove me to always keep going with the artisan gallery.

I have learned so much and gained so many beautiful friendships in this space, not only with the collectors but all the amazing artists that trusted me to show their work. That said it is sad to be forced to let it go. But I am excited for a new beginning.

As they say one door closes and another one opens...looking forward to exploring what that is.

This week I have been hauling my studio back up to the loft. I'm feeling good about it. It's going to be a nice space to work looking out over my garden. Once it's all set up and I replenish my work. (You all cleaned me out🙏❤️) you will be able to come shop my collection by appointment and of course online....Im shooting for opening for @walthamopenstudios but it will all depend if I have work to show by November 3rd...perhaps popping up in the lap gallery for a little holiday shindig with some friends . Time will tell.

There lots of emotions but I'm trying to focus on the positives and can't wait to start hammering again⚒️❤️

Yesterday i got totally hooked (fishing pun intended) on clamming on the Vineyard. I felt like a cross between a mermaid and a pioneer woman catching her dinner. So today I bought a clam rake, got an egg crate from Mocha Motts, and set about making my very own floating color coordinated orange clam bucket (the first one was borrowed). Let me know if you want to clam with me next summer and we will make it happen.
