It’s this angel’s birthday today and you have no idea how much I love this being. Sure, I call Sayler my apprentice, but if you know us, you know that we are chosen family. Tattooing is just one small part of our giant connection.

I know that everyone they come across sees their bright light. May it stay safe in this intense world. 🙏🏻

Please wish them a happy birthday and even better go see them for a tattoo! ( @doomfae )Their work is so very beautiful and continues to grow more and more polished and intentional and skilled with every piece they do! Someday they will be booked out for a year and you’ll be sad you didn’t get in earlier.

— such a proud G-pa.

Some #randomness to close out the week

Slide one is some #cybersigilism I did on a whim and with a bit of research. Mainly inspired by @nine.blk and @doomfae

Slide two is a design that I started work on but just never finished

Last two slides are #tattooconcepts for @churchofcleo these weren't asked for and were inspired by Cleo's Korean heritage (couldn't figure out how to get your Slavic side in there since I only did a bit of research. Sorry 🤷‍♂️)

How long has it been?!
So much adventure, changes, friends, art, music, love, death and growth in these couple of years! Instagram likes to rot my brain a little bit, maybe you can relate. If I’m not putting anything in and just being sucked into the algorithm, it’s taking more from me than I’m receiving. So here’s a little bit of the magic that’s been going down in my life. I need another 200 photos to capture everyone! Thanks for being in my life people 💕

Costco provides our sustenance. About every eight weeks I stock up on things we use the most at Ink Medicine: paper towels, gloves, spindrift and candy. Hey @drinkspindrift ! Wanna sponsor us?

It was time for another trip and I always take a few risks at Costco. Want to know what they were?

Had such a fun little getaway trip to the coast with my love, full of beach adventures, running away from the tide, painting and art, hand tattoos, and the coolest air-bnb house and never enough seafood🌊🌿🐟☀️
Thank you @doomfae for the amazing hand tattoo and overall experience, I'm so in love with it and am so greatful for your amazing talent ✨️ thanks for giving us another reason to visit the coast

Sayler McBean is a gem of a person and I’m so lucky we found each other in this world. My student. My teacher. It’s a completely unique and special relationship the likes of which I’d never experienced before. Sort of parental sort of primarily about being a guardian and a protector. If you missed this conversation I have with my first apprentice as we start our journey together, this is your reminder to hit it up. And follow @doomfae . Sayler will be whipping up amazing apprentice tattoos before you know it. #inkmedicinepodcast #inkmedpod #queerpodcast #tattoopodcast #tattooartistpodcast #alternativeculture #altculture #alt #queerculture #fascinating
