⚽️ WORLD CUP TAP DANCE CELEBRATION FEATURE ⚽️ 🇳🇱 From THE NETHERLANDS: Marije Nie 🇳🇱 👞 @marije_nie, @marijenie ⚽️ Moving on to Group F! The Netherlands won the group and will play in the knockout round with 31 other teams! Marije Nie is a tap dancer, musician, performer and educator based in the Dutch capital, Amsterdam. Her passion lies in the power and poetry of steps, and their ability to navigate different worlds. She works in many different styles and genres of music, including classical music, jazz, electronic music, improvised music and even with symphony orchestras. Marije also creates and performs interdisciplinary theater, film, community art projects, interventions and workshops. She is a member of the Cross Pollination Collective where she organizes artistic labs to connect artists and researchers from many artistic disciplines. By the way, ever wonder why the Dutch national soccer team wears orange? The Netherlands wears orange as its national color to honor the Dutch royal family, the House of Orange-Nassau. The connection dates back to the 16th century when William of Orange led the country to independence from Spain. 🇳🇱❤️🤍💙🧡👞⚽️ #WorldCupTapDanceCelebration #TapDanceAcrossTheWorld #tapdance #tapdanceandsoccer #TheNetherlandsTapFam

👞⚽️ Happy Thursday! Yes, we are still having a celebration of the World Cup! I have noticed that all of the entries so far have been from tap dancers in Brazil! 🇧🇷 And all of you know — and I’ve said it many times — that Brazil is passionate about soccer, just like they are passionate about tap dance! Did you think they wouldn’t enjoy putting their two loves together? You know them better than that! 👞⚽️ It’s been amazing to see our Brazil tap fam lean into this, but I want to see other countries join the party. Even if your team has already been eliminated from the tournament — and several have! — you can still take part and celebrate. ⚽️ This is how to enter: ⚽️ Film a tap video. You’re free to use any song you want, or you can do it acapella! ⚽️ You have the option of wearing your country’s colors… or not! ⚽️ Submit your video to this celebration by (1) posting it to your account and adding @livinthattaplife AND @livinthattaplifebackup as collaborators, or (2) DMing it to me directly, after which I will post it for you and add YOU as a collaborator. ⚽️ Use two main hashtags: #WorldCupTapDanceCelebration and #TapDanceAcrossTheWorld! ⚽️ Add your country’s flag emoji in your post! This celebration will end with the World Cup Final on Sunday, July 19, so we will be celebrating until the end of that match! Film something… anything… and celebrate this art form and the great global game! Nothing brings together people from all different countries, cultures, and backgrounds like the World Cup! Tap dancers should be no exception! 👞⚽️ #tapdance #TapDanceAndSoccer #tapdancers 🇲🇽🇿🇦🇰🇷🇨🇿🇨🇦🇧🇦🇶🇦🇨🇭🇧🇷🇲🇦🇭🇹🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿🇺🇸🇵🇾🇦🇺🇹🇷🇩🇪🇨🇼🇨🇮🇪🇨🇳🇱🇯🇵🇸🇪🇹🇳🇧🇪🇪🇬🇮🇷🇳🇿🇪🇸🇨🇻🇸🇦🇺🇾🇫🇷🇸🇳🇮🇶🇳🇴🇦🇷🇩🇿🇦🇹🇯🇴🇵🇹🇨🇩🇺🇿🇨🇴🏴󠁧󠁢󠁥󠁮󠁧󠁿🇭🇷🇬🇭🇵🇦
