@lachymerkel with the gold medal in a very busy division.
He had 5 fights to overcome and considering it wasn't the best preparation with his injury a few weeks ago, he represented himself excellently. He stayed composed, and pulled off the jiu jitsu we know he's capable of.
Excellent work sir....eyes on the big prize later this year.

New bunch of fighters unleashed on the rough streets of Melbourne. Congratulations to the newest black belts at Leverage, 4 of the best examples of the art I have seen. Each embodying the Bushido virtues of integrity, courage, politeness, sincerity, honor, loyalty, and compassion. Their resilience, patience, kindness and dedication to the art are an inspiration to all those who have had the pleasure of sharing the mats with them. Each of them goes above and beyond to help those around them without asking for anything in return.

Four legendary warriors that I am grateful and blessed to have shared the mats with for over a decade 🙏

I am so proud of the young man you have become Eli. Congratulations on your well deserved promotion. Next year, onto the senior ranks!!

I can't express how happy and grateful we are to be a part of such an amazing gesture for such a great human being. Congratulations, Phil, you epitomise what Jiu-Jitsu is all about and set an amazing example for all of us to follow and live up to.

Joining the @pedrosauer_bjja and meeting @pedro_sauer_ and @leverage_jiu_jitsu_academy was the easiest and best decision we ever made.

Thank you @higherjiujitsu and @higherjohnr_oss for the introduction, support, and friendship.

Well done to @dopedaddybjj for organising such a beautiful gift.

Posted @withregram • @leverage_jiu_jitsu_academy Today I was presented with these wonderful mementos by my students and affiliates.
I am truly humbled to receive such a thoughtful gift from you all. There were contributors from interstate, namely @higherjiujitsu, @northernbeachesjiujitsu, @pathwaysmmaandjitz, and abroad @pedro_sauer_ and the love was truly felt.
I can't properly express my gratitude with this post, just know, I love it.
A huge thank you to all my students at Leverage, you helped me make a dream come true.
A special mention to @dopedaddybjj for organising it all.

This is just the beginning!!
Big things on the way!!

Morning classes are pumping. Around 30 dedicated warriors today at Leverage Jiu-Jitsu Academy. Not bad for a Friday morning in Thomastown. Get down there for some great 6am sessions, Monday, Wednesday and Friday mornings.
