Y’all, let me tell you how much receiving the Artist Support Grant meant to me! 🥹💗

Since 2016, I’ve been building ColorTripz from the ground up, dreaming up projects and coming up with ideas that I sometimes just didn’t have the funding to bring to life. And if you know me, you know I ALWAYS have an idea! 😂 The vision has never been the problem… it’s been having the resources to make it happen.

This grant gave me the push I needed to finally get some of those ideas out of my head and into the world! I was able to pay @dopenessvisuals my friend and photographer to document me doing what I love, redesign and paint @recsnthreadsstl in the Tower Grove neighborhood, create and facilitate a 6-week creative healing workshop with @healingshegotfaith , revamp my website, AND host an art show with the crew @e7_crew

Whew! When I look back at everything I was able to accomplish, I’m just really grateful. 🥹 Having the opportunity to invest in myself, grow as an artist, and pour back into my community through my work means so much to me.

Sometimes you have the vision, the passion, and the skills, but you just need somebody to invest in you and give you the resources to make it happen. This grant was that for me, and I don’t take it lightly.

Here’s to continuing to grow, creating more, and finding new ways to use my art to connect with my community. Thank you to everyone who continues to believe in and support what I’m building as ColorTripz! 🎨💕 #racgrant #artistsupport #artgrant #freelanceartist #stlartist

art for art’s sake 🎨✨

no likes. no clout. no competition. just art.
we’re taking the popularity contest out of it. every form of art has beauty in it, and every artist deserves to be seen and celebrated for the love of the craft, not the algorithm.
come through for good energy, good food, good sounds, and a room full of people that resembles the upper echelon creatives. st. louis, let’s show up for each other 🖤
