2024 was a wild ride with lots of lessons in between but a blessing in the end. I got to add so many amazing memories with my incredible family, old friends, and new friends. It was a big bucketlist year and I’m excited to see what 2025 has in store ❤️

A very bittersweet yoga class today, as it was the last one I taught in Santa Monica before I move to Spain in a few days. I’m excited to start a new chapter…but the beautiful energy each student has brought to these Santa Monica classes will make me miss it dearly. 🤍

Thank you to each and every one of you who has joined a class—I’m humbled and grateful for your presence and the special energy you’ve brought that is unique to you and feeds into such a powerful and serene community experience.

I’ll be back to visit so will post here when I have an upcoming date!

Marlina and I got engaged on 9/21 as you all have probably seen already. It’s been a long time coming: Marlina and I started dating senior year of UCLA (7 years ago). I wouldn’t be able to pursue this wild comedy career without Marlina by my side supporting me (and literally acting in my videos). I wanted to share the behind the scenes here:

We both pretty much knew we were ready to get engaged (we’ve been dating 7 years lol). Mar would subtly show me tiktoks/reels of other proposals to give me hints. She liked the idea of a scavenger hunt, her sisters being there and knowing it was going to happen early in the day.

I chose 9/21 because Marlina always loves dancing to the song “September” with her friends on that night. Luckily, this year it fell on a Saturday.

On 9/21, Marlina met with her sister Maritza at 9:30AM in Madison Square Park with the expectation they’d catch up after her sister returned from a long trip. To her surprise, a man wearing a red medieval herald outfit carrying a trumpet appeared (in the vein of Shrek 2, one of our favorite movies). He (Ian) summoned her to embark on a royal scavenger hunt. At the end of which she’d find true love’s first kiss.

Along the way, she would get a gift and a note that would take her to each consecutive location. There were 7 gifts for 7 years of dating.

The first place was a nail salon where she was surprised by her sister Marta (who flew out) and one of her best friends, Abrisham. She then went to pick out a royal dress with Doreen, got sugar fish with Richie and Gabe, got her hair done with Ashley and Holly (then there were further guest appearances by Chanelle and Aline). The final card said “Meet me at the swamp.”

At 6PM, we finally reunited at Central Park at a very Shrek-like gazebo. Of course I had a violinist playing the fairytale song from the beginning of movie. Mar thought that was going to be the proposal spot until my brother picked us up in a row boat and took us to the actual proposal location.

Of course, the final gift was a ring ❤️
