Last night’s Double Feature was everything we hoped it would be and more. With 60+ filmmakers, creatives, and film lovers filling the theater, we were reminded just how special this community is.

A huge congratulations to the incredible filmmakers who trusted us with showcasing their work. Your stories sparked thoughtful conversations, inspired new ideas, and reminded us why independent filmmaking matters.

To everyone who came out, asked questions during the panels, introduced yourselves to someone new, and stayed after to connect — thank you. Charleston’s film community continues to grow because of people like you.

And of course, thank you to @thevenuemtp for providing such an incredible space to bring our community together.

This is exactly what the Charleston Film Network is all about: celebrating local filmmakers, creating meaningful connections, and building an industry right here in the Lowcountry.

We’re already looking forward to the next one. 🎥

📸 Tag yourself, tag a friend you met, and let us know your favorite moment from the night!

Vignettes from The Making of: The Ruckus (2/11)
PORTRAITS (MONOCHROMATIC)

More flashbacks to better days with great collaborators and better friends.

Learn more about Ruckus/the story of Bob Brewer by looking in my reposts tab (there’s only two posts there; nothing is hard to find, I promise).

Vignettes from The Making of: The Ruckus (1/11)
PORTRAITS

This is the first of eleven sets of behind-the-scenes pictures I shot for our ( @storytimeguild ) independently-made historical drama, Ruckus, the unearthing of the previously untold story of Bob Brewer, a Black American icon.

Required viewing/reading is never fun, and making people look for stuff is also never fun, so I’ve curated and assembled all of the pictures into subcategories that can be seen and enjoyed separately without any context on what Ruckus is. *If you would like to see more,* check my reposts tab for both the trailer for the proof-of-concept film itself and the trailer for my 42-minute documentary for the film — they are my only reposts, so they’re not hard to find!

All of the pictures here are mine, but I wanted to spotlight @megan.rochelle.wilson @probinson867 and @ajholister (Hair & Makeup, Wardrobe, and Production Design) for their incredible work bringing this story to life. Regardless of my composition or the lighting, these pictures would not be the same without those three literally setting the stage first.

First of eleven sets so there’s a lot more to come. More soon; be there. Love y’all.
