Many people don’t value or respect the field events like the track events but these athletes work extremely hard to achieve these feats. It was some major history made this season.

This is the FIRST time in Alabama State University history that 3️⃣ male Triple Jumpers placed 1️⃣ - 3️⃣
- 4️⃣ at the SWAC Championship 🔥

This is the FIRST time in Alabama State University history, the program advanced 3️⃣ NCAA East Region Qualifiers in the Triple Jump and 1️⃣ NCAA East Region Qualifier in the Long Jump all in the SAME season.

This is also the FIRST time in Alabama State University history that a Triple Jumper has qualified for the NCAA National Championships held in Eugene, Oregon.

Here are the progressions from this year’s horizontal crew:

Anthony Woods II (Junior)

Long Jump - 7.52m ➡️ 7.56m
Triple Jump - 15.52m ➡️ 16.04m

Seth Stockton (Sophomore)

Long Jump - 7.00m ➡️ 7.16m
Triple Jump - 15.31m ➡️ 15.64m

Isaiah Riggins (Freshman)

Triple Jump - 15.01m ➡️ 15.46m

Destini Lewis (Freshman)

Long Jump - 5.51m ➡️ 5.57m

The job is not finished but im grateful to God for all the wonders he has done for us. This Is a special group and we will keep getting better. I am proud of each and every one of the athletes who trusted me and trusted the process this year. It paid off ‼️ Love my crew 🙏🏾🙏🏾
