Poha 💛💛💛

Light morning breakfast.

Recipe:

In a heavy kadai, heat oil. Sauté the potatoes in medium hot oil till light golden and crisp. Keep aside.

In the same kadai, there will be some oil left. Add ¾ teaspoon mustard seeds to the hot oil. If there is no oil, then add 1 tablespoon oil and heat it gently.

When the mustard seeds splutter, add the cumin seeds.

When the cumin seeds crackle, add the onions. Sauté the onions till they become translucent and soften.

Now add the curry leaves, green chili and roasted peanuts. Saute for a minute.

Add the fried potatoes and then the poha. Mix gently with the rest of the mixture.

Cover the pan tightly with a lid for the poha to get steamed for about 2 minutes on low heat. Remove the lid and check the taste and if required add more salt and sugar.

Switch off the flame and cover the pan tightly with a lid for the poha to get steamed for a few minutes.

Remove the lid and garnish with chopped coriander/cilantro leaves and grated fresh coconut.

Serve kanda batata poha hot with chopped lemon pieces. The lemon juice has to be squeezed on the poha before eating it.

Alternatively, you could also follow this method. Once the poha is done, sprinkle about 1 to 2 teaspoons lime juice on it.

Mix and then garnish it with coconut and coriander leaves.

If Baklava was a girl I'd Marry her 😘😘😘

Most amazing delicious delightful dessert Baklava 💕💕

Recipe 👇👇👇

For the Syrup:

🔹In a saucepan combine sugar and water and medium heat it until sugar dissolved and once begins to boil then add rosewater and lime juice and remove from heat.

For the Dough:

🔹In a Food processor, combine egg, milk, oil, little saffron incorporated water and pulse it.

🔹 Gradually add flour and pulse until non sticky dough forms.

🔹 Divide the dough into half and let it rest in room temperature for atleast 1 hour.

For the Filling:

🔹 In a mixing bowl, combine minced almond, chopped walnuts, sugar, caramom powder and cinnamon powder and give it a nice mix.

🔹 Preheat oven to 185 degree Celcius.

🔹 Brush baking tray with oil.

🔹 Using rolling pin, roll out the dough as thin as possible. and transfer to the greased baking tray.

🔹 Spread filling mixture evenly over the rolled dough, gently press it to even the layer.

🔹 Spread another layer of chopped pistachios evenly and lightly brush with oil and cover with another rolled out dough.

🔹 Tuck the edges of the dough as needed.

🔹 Using a sharp knife cut the Baklava in diamond shape. and brush with oil and egg wash for beautiful crust and bake for 25 to 30 minutes.

🔹 When baked, remove and immediately pour the syrup all over it and let it absorb and later garnish with sliced pistachios and dried rose petals.
