THE TRUTH IS OUT THERE. MAYBE. Dad believes something happened to him. His body is failing. His alcoholism is killing him. And he insists he’s been abducted. When Ricky returns home to deal with his dying father, he and his siblings are forced to confront the strange stories and fractured memories that have followed their family for years. Is it the alcohol? Is it the illness? Or is something else going on? Inspired by true events and hopeless imaginings, WET BRAIN by John J. Caswell Jr. is a darkly funny, unsettling journey into family, addiction, and the possibility that we’re not alone. WET BRAIN by John J. Caswell Jr. October 15–November 8, 2026 5th Wall Theatre Richmond, VA MAKE CONTACT. Tickets are on sale now.

⁣⁣ ⁣“We are all tiny flames, burning briefly, too far from each other to cast any shared light. And within those tiny flames, each of us occupies only an infinitesimal amount of time.” ⁣ - Samuel D. Hunter⁣⁣ ⁣⁣ Feeling deeply grateful to have brought Samuel D. Hunter’s LITTLE BEAR RIDGE ROAD to @vareptheatre and Richmond audiences.⁣⁣⁣ ⁣⁣⁣ To be the first regional theatre company to produce this extraordinary play following its Broadway run was an honor. ⁣⁣⁣ ⁣⁣⁣ This is the third staging of the play, but for us, it became something uniquely our own: shaped by this company, this community, and the artists who poured themselves into it.⁣⁣⁣ ⁣⁣⁣ Theatre is, at its best, an act of stewardship: we receive a story, care for it, wrestle with it, and then send it out into the world in our own time and place.⁣⁣⁣ ⁣⁣⁣ What a privilege. ⁣⁣⁣ ⁣⁣⁣ #gratitudepost #VARepLittleBearRidgeRoad #newamericanplay #rvatheatre #Richmond1st

⁣ We love to hear about our audience’s reactions - especially for shows like LITTLE BEAR RIDGE ROAD. Throughout the season, we strive to provide a diversity of programming for our patrons—and we know not every show is for every person. We are thrilled when audiences take a chance on a production that may not be familiar to them, and enjoy their experience. ⁣ ⁣ We are honored to be able to provide a chance for Richmond audiences to see such a moving, new show, for the first time outside of Chicago or New York. If you haven’t taken a chance yet on LITTLE BEAR RIDGE ROAD - we have three weekends remaining. ⁣ ⁣ Tickets are available via the link in our bio⬆️, at virginiarep.org (http://virginiarep.org/), or by calling our box office at (804) 282-2620⁣!⁣⁣⁣⁣⁣⁣⁣⁣⁣⁣⁣⁣⁣⁣ ⁣⁣⁣⁣⁣⁣⁣⁣⁣⁣⁣⁣⁣ #VaRepLittleBear 🌌 #rvatheatre #RVA #LittleBearRidgeRoad #NewAmericanPlay
