The sea monster "Kraken" has been part of Norse mythology for centuries. In the Sverris saga about King Sverre Sigurdsson, written in the 12th century, it is one of the monsters encountered by the protagonist. It was a colossal creature, as big as an island, that could sink ships. The Kraken was often equated with other mythical sea monsters, including the biblical Leviathan. Originally several kilometers long, its size shrank over the centuries to still enormous, ship-sinking dimensions. It either pulls the ships into the depths with its arms or creates a maelstrom.

🌸 • Shout out to @nori_kase for trusting me to design and create this special mural for your patio! I can’t wait to see how it brings joy to your patrons and reinforces your vision for the space and community. Thank you from the bottom of my heart! @jimmytung9 @johnnytung @justinraulerson 💕

🌸 • Huge shout out to @dosar1 for going above and beyond as an “assistant” (this really became a beautiful collaboration). I Dont know what I would have done without you. I struggled with grief and falling ill but you were there to support and I appreciate you!!

🌸 • @kobrapaint thank you for supporting me as an artist! It means the world to me to work with you time and time again!

🌸 • @shamiebarrett thank you for coming through and capturing meaningful moments to tell stories only you could tell! And for making supply runs for me so I could stay at the wall. Also, Bento 🐶 brought such joy!

🌸 • @undersiege360 thank you for staying after visiting to pick up a table. Haha! You are always down to help from supply runs to clean up and to keep the laughs coming! Can’t wait to see how your 360 views came out and the perspective you share!

🌸 • I can’t forget to shout out the 👑 queen herself @nicosuavalicious for encouraging me to challenge and believe in myself that I can make murals! I wouldn’t be doing this today if it wasn’t for you, so thank you! You are forever an inspiration! Love you!

Been working in and out of the studio these days. Here are some works in progress.

My heart aches and with all I’ve had going on it’s no wonder I’ve fallen under the weather. I’ll be back up and running soon.

Thank you to each and every one of you who have reached out in regard to my brother. Your words have meant the world to me.

Reminded about the impermanence of mural art. This corner seems to be ever changing. 2 years ago there was just one mural. That is now painted over with several that wrap around. 🎨: @elena_ohlander #thenandnow #muralmonday #onlyinjax #jaxisrad #artoutside #dtjax #igersjax #muralart #publicart #urbanexploration #themuralmapjax #jacksonvillemurals #floridaliving #hiddenjacksonville #jacksonville #muralpainting #outdoorart #mural #streetart #graffitiart #theearthwithoutartisjusteh #optoutside #aerosolart
